Plastic Waste Issue

 Plastics us individuals use on the daily usually end up in the oceans that we all admire and travel to swim in. Having plastic in the ocean is one of the biggest issues in the world right now because it is affecting the animals that live in those oceans filled with plastic waste.  Some of these animals actually end up dying because the plastic will get stuck around their neck and eventually kill them. Most people don't realize that this issue also affects our health because plastic breaks down and release toxins that can damage our body. To reduce the plastic waste issue we can voluntarily clean up beaches or any area near water to prevent plastic and other waste from reaching that point.

    It is sad that it seems that we dismiss problems until they affect us but as the saying goes, “better late than never”. It doesn’t excuse what we have done, I just hope that we can fix what we have done in time to not only save us but everything around us.

    Seeing the images surface on the internet time and time again of the damage people on this earth have caused to the ocean is disheartening. People dont even realize how much that piece of trash they left on the beach can cause or how many times they have done it and how much its accumalated in their lifetime and whats it do to our ecosystem with the coral reef's destroyed and the situation getting worse can we make things right before more animals and ecosystems are ruined? only time will tell

    One big issue is the human concern about this type of problem. Most people can't realize the impact of their action regarding the environment until it affects them directly. It's tragic and unnatural that a lot of animals dies because they are chocking on a plastic bags or whatever plastic object created by the human

 Hannah Bailey  There have been posts about sea levels rising however its not just affecting the sea. The water rising is also affecting the land. There is always the conspiracy that Florida will be fully submerged. It is stated on “the travel” page that Florida could be submerged as soon as 2050. This means that section of land will become apart of the sea life ecosystem. All of the oil preserves, the towns, even maybe cars would be submerged and begin to add more pollution to the ocean. This would require the citizens on Florida to have to reside elsewhere. Around 20 square mile of land has been consumed by sea levels rising. That is equivalent to 9,680 football fields of land gone.   Wildlife conservation is the way of practicing the protection of the animal species and the  habitats they survive in. The Endangered Species Act,  is the establishment and protection of public lands animals live in, and the responsibility of public practices that conserve wild animal populations.  With The earth continuing to grow at a fast rate, it is also meaning that more and more humans are taking up natural resources. This is endangering the existence of animals and their habitats. Land Reclamation

 Hannah Bailey Land Reclamation  Land is becoming more scarce as humans produce more technology and as the world wide population continues to increase. Land reclamation is "the process of creating new land from the sea." One way of doing this is by placing certain amount of big rocks and cement into a certain location in the water. To fill in between the rocks they place soil and sand until the new manmade land is at its desired height. This benefits the human race by creating land however, how does this impact our waters? How about the sea creatures? Is this damaging the environment? This does impact all of those things. In areas that use have high amount of crab and fish are seeing less and less. The underwater habitats are being destroyed. There was a reclamation project in China that was restricted for the harm against marine life.
