Clean Water Action

Clean Water Action is an American advocacy group who fights for the environment, but they focus more specially on water pollution. It was created in 1972, this advocacy group focuses on canvassing and gaining support for political issues and candidates to help some environmental causes. Canvassing is the systematic initiation of direct contact with individuals, commonly used during political campaigns. It is an organization that is based in Washington, D.C. This group was formed in 1972 by David Zwick. Today their mission is to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life. Clean Water Action organizes politic movements and coalitions to take direct action, they also organize campaigns to elect environmental candidates and last but not least, to solve environmental and community problems.  Here is what they do to take action to protect drinking water and clean up polluted waterways:

"Get health-harming toxics out of everyday products;Protect our water from dirty energy threats - drilling and fracking for oil and gas, and power plant pollution;Build a future of clean water and clean energy;Keep our clean water laws strong and effective to protect water and health."
