For Love Of Water (FLOW)

The title of my blog may be misleading in the aspect of my current topic is land. Everyday our land is being destroyed due to farming, road construction, or even for living spaces. This affects National Forests like I have mentioned in a previous blog however, it is also affecting wetlands. Lands that also consist partly of water. Wetlands, like the ones in Michigan, are important for all living organisms because it is one of our limited sources of water. Wetlands are also habitats for many living organisms. It is crucial that these among many other lands that need protected. Under Michigan's Wetlands Protect Act, the destruction to Michigans wetlands have lowered down tremendously! This is great for their state and we should follow in their footsteps! All Wetlands need to be under some sort of protection. The Wetlands Protection Program(WPP) is currently creating a program in order to create voluntary acts to benefit the Wetlands.

I found your post very interesting, I have never heard of Michigan's Wetlands Protect Act, but it seems like they have done a good job protecting the environment. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI want to start off by saying I really love your title and your first sentence of your blog. Wetlands are very crucial to a lot of organisms and I think it is awesome that Michigan’s destruction of wetlands have decreased. I think other places should do the same so we can protect our organisms and our land in general. I like how there are all different types of programs to protect different things, there really are people that care about our world.

I never realized how important wetland were. It's great to see an act put in place to protect them. I hope more states put a act like this in place as well. Great post!
