Wildfires & Koalas
In 2019 Australia had a lot of wildfires staring in the middle of forests. Many koalas lived in those forests which cause a lot of them to burn in some of those fires. Most animals can run or dig underground but koalas pretty much live and survive off the trees in the forest, so it was just one big disaster. The Koala hospital located in New South Wales are trying to help injured Koalas from wildfires and also help them breed new ones. It is also known that more and more koalas are getting chlamydia, so that's why the hospital are trying to treat them before they go extinct. I think it is amazing how the hospital is helping out these koalas because I believe no animals should go extinct and that more programs should help out more on that.

When I in Australia, I remembered that we weren't allowed to touch them or anything because they were already so precious at that time. I saw the other day that more than 5'000 koalas died in the bushfires and there is just 20% of all of them that survive the bushfires. I really hope that koalas are not going to get instinct.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time hearing about a koala hospital, and I have heard about all the wildfires and all of the animals having their own place to go while koalas really don’t have any place to go. So I think it’s a good thing that they actually have a hospital just for any type of animal I’m guessing I don’t know but I really like what you’re saying about the hospital is actually put in their way out of helping koalas and all of that. I really like this post good job!
ReplyDeleteI think koalas are some of the cutest animals we have on our planet. Seeing their homes being burned downed in the news because of global warming. The photo that you showed in you Blog makes me want to reduce my greenhouse footprint. If the world would change their carbon dioxide emissions faster, then I wouldn’t have to see the koalas get extinct in the future.
