Acid rain
Ahram Solis
EPA says, “Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air.” These chemicals mix into our atmosphere, which causes the damaging rain called “acid rain”. Two ways that sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides get into clouds are from power plants releasing these chemicals into the air or into near by lakes. The rain can make the environment for wildlife toxic to live in and can also cause them to die. It can always be bad for our body if anyone’s outside during an acid rain and ruin crops. We can decrease the chances of acid rain showing up by stopping the usage green house gases.

Ahram, Right off the bat your title, 'Acid Rain' , is what caught my attention. I used to watch this show on netflix called 'The Rain'. It's very similar to what you are talking about except the rain in this show was spreading an illness and not just chemicals. I find it so crazy how the things we all do on a daily basis are ultimately slowly killing our world and ourselves. Good read!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post and learning about acid rain. I think its cool to read about because it isn't something I know a lot about. It's interacting that this all happened because of chemical reactions and what is stuck up in the air. It's also sad to here that it can make environments toxic and its bad for some to live in.

ReplyDeleteIt's the first time I heard about this, and it is very interesting. We should fight for it and hope that it is going to decrease. Great post!
