Nuclear Fusion Power

Carliss Howell : Nuclear Fusion Power

Nuclear fusion power can be considered to be an inexhaustible source of energy. Most natural fusion powers are created from the sun and stars. Harnessing this type of energy can be looked at as mission impossible because of the actual requirements it would take to make this energy sustainable. The temperature to create this fusion needs to be close to 100 million Kelvin and the hydrogen ions need to move at higher speeds and create pressure high enough to bring those said ions close enough to create energy. The sun creates the right conditions for natural fusion due to the gravitational forces; but the Earth doesn’t have this luxury. The earth would need a basic type of fusion; D-T fusion which is basically two isotypes of hydrogen; the D standing for deuterium and the T standing for tritium. There are two challenges with trying to produce this.  The first would be being able to achieve the correct rate of heat that would be originally emitted by fusion plasma that would exceed the rate of energy injected into the D-T fusion into the plasma itself. The second challenge being actually apply the heat of the fusion reaction to human needs basically generating energy.
