Nutrient  pollution

Nutrient pollution is one of the costly challenges when it comes to pollution in water. Nutrient pollution is  caused by excess nitrogen and phosphorus in the water. Nitrogen and phosphorus are already in the water naturally, they help produce algae and aquatic plants which provide food to other animals. When there is excess though this causes over production of those plants. This causes harm to the water quality due to the over production. It also takes from the oxygen supply for the fish that live in these bodies of water causing them to die off.

  1. I feel like there is always something going on with our water across the world. This just goes to show we need more programs and more help from the government to change these issues. The animals who habitat is in the water are going to die off sooner or later. Great post !
